DUROD EP-C200 is a carbon fiber hybrid cello endpin made in Korea for players seeking clearer projection, focused tone, and stable resonance.
How to choose
- Choose your sound. Brass rod for resonance and a strong core, titanium rod for clarity and lively highs, steel rod for even balance, brass tube for longer sustain. For the fastest response, the top model EP-G70 is recommended for soloist-level players.
- Choose the length. 520 mm standard or 620 mm long.
- Choose the button. Champagne gold, black, silver, gold — or no button at all.

Spike Type
EP-G70 (Special carbon fiber + Brass rod) — top model
Special carbon fiber is designed for faster transmission, giving a very quick response in the upper register. Recommended for soloist-level cellists who often play powerful, fast repertoire.
In DUROD's player tests, soloist-level players valued its fast response most, while less experienced players found it harder to use to full effect.
EP-G10 (Carbon + Brass rod)
The resonance of the cello is enhanced, making the core of its sound more distinct and its projection outstanding.
The articulation of the cello is clear, ensuring that its sound is conveyed distinctly even in large concert halls.
EP-T10 (Carbon + Titanium rod)
The cello's sound is clear and gives a stable impression, with the higher frequencies coming to life vibrantly.
EP-S10 (Carbon + Steel rod)
The balance across all frequency ranges is good, and the sound's core and projection are excellent.
EP-GB10 (Carbon + Brass tube)
The resonance of the cello is enhanced, and the sustain lingers longer. It is comfortable to play, and the sound projects easily.
Button Type
The EP-C200 button comes in champagne gold, black, silver or gold. You can also order the endpin with no button.

Fit
Cello endpin holes are not standardised. The 4-fit adapter included with button orders fits endpin holes of 25, 26, 27 and 28 mm. Measure your cello's endpin hole before ordering: DUROD cello endpins cannot be ordered for holes outside this range, but you are welcome to email us with any fitting questions. Spike-only orders (no button) do not include the adapter; the spike is 10 mm in diameter.
